The Volcano Lava Lamp is the original ambient object. Heat from the metal base warms colored wax that rises, falls, and reshapes itself in slow motion. No two minutes look the same. The glass cylinder sits on a solid metal base and the whole thing radiates enough warm light to be the only light you need in a dim room.
First use takes 5–6 hours. The wax needs that time to fully soften and find its rhythm. After the first run, 2–3 hours is all it takes.
